Case study Conversation intelligence and decision support
Turning client conversations into usable commercial intelligence.
A transcript-based sales workflow that preserves the customer’s real context and turns it into better preparation, proposals, follow-up, decisions, and proof.
Commercial intelligence · Independently developed at RAINThe challenge
What needed to be solved
Important commercial information was scattered across calls, notes, files, campaign reports, and individual memory. Generic summaries could capture the topic of a meeting while losing the language, priorities, objections, commitments, and internal pressures that should shape the next decision. I needed a disciplined way to carry the customer’s actual context forward without exposing private conversations or letting persuasive claims outrun the evidence.
The approach
What I personally owned
Independently developed a transcript-based workflow that begins with the client or prospect’s own words, then connects them to the relevant account history and supporting records.
Extracted needs, objections, priorities, commitments, risks, and open decisions so meeting preparation and follow-up reflected what was actually said—not a generic account summary.
Used that context to develop decision-ready proposals, growth strategies, executive communications, and targeted follow-up materials around the customer’s real operating problem.
Created a source trail for important claims by tracing them back to dated conversations, reports, agreements, and screenshots; separated actuals from projections and client-reported outcomes from attributable results.
Converted fragmented multi-year records into anonymized case-study evidence while keeping client identities, transcripts, budgets, and internal mechanics private.
Evidence
What the record shows
conversation history carried into the next decision
proposals, strategies, briefs, and follow-up produced
material claims connected to their original source
proof separated from confidential client records
The reviewed record contains completed proposals, strategy documents, meeting briefs, follow-up assets, executive reporting, an anonymized case study, and a dated source-evidence memorandum. It supports Mark’s authorship of the workflow and the finished work it produced. It does not establish company-wide adoption, a measured time-saving rate, or a controlled improvement in close rate, retention, or revenue.
